About The RoleWarner Howard Field Sales Consultant - North of England and ScotlandWorking with the internal telesales sales team colleague to grow the business by training wholesaler staff & helping them to sell out their stocks of our dryers. Target stockists' sales staff, both internal & external, working with them to identify their contractor customers who are working on construction projects that contain hand dryers, establish the size of the opportunities, which dryers are specified, if any, the number of dryers, & when they will be ordered. Help the contractor/wholesaler to select the right unit in terms of specification/budget, help negotiate pricing to secure the order via the wholesaler. Update the customer account & quote/project log & track the purchase through to its completion & forecast for the relevant period.Key Tasks:
  • Working closely with the telesales colleague to defend & grow our share of the hand dryer business within the customer base by:
  • Liaising closely with the wholesaler sales teams, training them on the key F & B's of the full range to help them select the right dryers for the projects their customers are quoting/working on, introduce them to new products
  • Working with the wholesaler sales team to identify projects that their customers are working/quoting on, then arrange visits to the key influencers in the contractors to promote our dryers for current/future project work, demonstrate the main advantages of our range over the competition
  • Carry out end user/contractor demonstrations when required to do so to win the order
  • Conduct regular meetings with branch/profit centre managers to discuss business trends, how to develop further business from the branch & review current sales performance against growth target
  • Look for new, new customers, i.e., Merchants, new branches of existing customers to help develop the number of buying customers on the area
  • Conduct "pop in" calls on all the non-stockists in any given area to keep us at the forefront of their minds should a dryer opportunity arise
Knowledge and Experience required:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a field sales role
  • Ideally experience or understanding of the building and specification industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of the constituent parts of the end-to-end process of the business.
  • Mathematical ability and knowledge of Microsoft word and excel
  • Capable of working with and manipulating IT systems
