As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to join our UK sales team. Role Overview: As a Field Applications Engineer within our sales organization, you will play a pivotal role in enabling customers to develop competitive, market-leading products using Altera technologies. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, guiding customers from initial architecture evaluation through to final design implementation. This role requires a strong technical foundation, excellent communication skills, and a passion for customer success. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Strategic Sales Team to develop and execute territory, account, and opportunity plans. Engage with system architects and decision-makers to understand application requirements and influence design strategies. Provide innovative technical solutions that leverage Altera's product portfolio. Coordinate design support and technical training with internal Intel teams and customer engineering groups. Deliver compelling presentations, feasibility studies, and proof-of-concept demonstrations during customer meetings and industry seminars. Advocate for customer needs internally to ensure Altera's product roadmap aligns with long-term customer requirements. Identify and develop new business opportunities within the region. Qualifications: Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a field applications engineering role or similar customer-facing technical position. Strong background in FPGA, ASIC, ASSP, CPU, DSP, or digital system design (including embedded hardware/software). Proficiency with FPGA development tools and methodologies. Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in diverse, cross-functional teams. Willingness to travel regularly for customer engagements and team collaboration. Must be a UK citizen. Preferred Experience Prior experience as an FAE or in a similar technical sales support role.
