Female Support Worker

Kingsway, Skipton

16-hour contract available

£12.71 per hour

About the Service

Our Skipton service is a lively supported living environment with lots going on. We support three lovely ladies who enjoy:

  • Swimming
  • Going to muscials
  • Arts and crafts

All three ladies have active lifestyles, so we are looking for energetic and enthusiastic individuals who enjoy getting involved and supporting others to live life to the fullest.

The Role

Across all our services, we support individuals with learning disabilities, helping them to:

  • Promote independence
  • Take part in their local community
  • Live fulfilling, meaningful lives

You will work as part of an experienced and established team, supporting three ladies to live as independently as possible.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting active social lives (gym, discos, social events)
  • Attending medical appointments when required
  • Assisting with household tasks and shopping
  • Supporting with medication management
  • Following detailed support plans to ensure consistent, person-centred care
Shifts

This is a 24-hour service, so shifts may include:

  • Days
  • Evenings
  • Sleepovers
  • Weekdays and weekends

Full availability is essential

Previous experience is desirable, but full training will be provided.

An enhanced DBS (Adults) is required for this role.
