  • Organise and participate in farm walks, webinars, educational events, and other farmer engagement activities.
  • Work with external organisations, including Teagasc, County Councils, and other industry stakeholders on sustainability-related projects.
  • Support programmes focused on water quality and sustainable farming practices.
  • Manage workloads effectively, prioritising immediate requirements while delivering on longer-term objectives.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team.
About You
  • Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Science, Dairy Science, Sustainability, Ecology, or a related discipline is essential.
  • Good understanding of agriculture, sustainability, and dairy farming systems.
  • Knowledge of requirements relating to improving and protecting water quality at farm level.
  • Ability to complete farm visits independently and provide practical recommendations.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to prepare farm-specific reports and recommendations following farm visits.
  • Ability to work with farmers to develop realistic and cost-effective action plans.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively influence and engage with farmers and other stakeholders.
  • Well organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Full clean driver's licence.
What's on Offer?
  • Salary €40,000 - €45 000 negotiable and depending on experience.
  • Valuable experience within a leading Irish agricultural organisation.
  • Exposure to sustainability, water quality, and environmental initiatives across the farming sector.
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • The opportunity to work closely with farmers and key industry stakeholders throughout Munster.
  • Supportive team environment and exposure to a wide range of agricultural sustainability projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious agriculture graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in agricultural sustainability while working directly with farmers and industry experts on projects that support the future of sustainable farming in Ireland.
