Farm Operator

Position Farm Operator Location North Cotswolds No. Required 1 Period Contract, Full time - Mid March - 30th September 2026

Velcourt Cotswold Contracting is seeking a skilled operator for the coming spring/summer season. The ideal candidate will be an experienced operator with a keen eye for detail and a positive attitude.

Located near Burford and Chipping Norton, the business is farming around 2100ha spread across 6 different businesses. This leads to a varied job across the beautiful Cotswold region.

The role will run from Mid-March through to the end of September.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Operating a Bateman or Horsch trailed sprayer
• Fertilizer spreading
• Rolling
• Cultivations
• Corn cart or grain store work in summer
• General farm work and machinery maintenance

The ideal candidate will be:

• Skilled machinery operator holding PA1, PA2 and Telehandler certificate.
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Competent with the use of GPS systems, including variable rate applications.
• A good record keeper with a keen eye for detail.
• A team player who wants to work both alone and with a close-knit team.
