Job Description

We are looking for a Farm Manager to join our existing team in Staffordshire. About The Farm -410 split calving (110 Spring 300 Autumn), grass based dairy herd with 160 followers -207ha in a ring fence with track and water infrastructure -We milk twice a day through a 24/48 herringbone parlour -The herd is paddock grazed through the Summer, fed on a self-feed system through the Winter, and housed between cubicles and loose housing -Arla milk contract standards The role requires someone with ambition, who shares our passion for producing milk from grass, is organised, a good communicator, and has the enthusiasm to manage cows and people. The successful candidate will be responsible for organising the day-to-day operations on the farm which will include: staff, livestock and grassland management, whilst maintaining high animal welfare standards and delivering excellent farm performance. This position would therefore suit someone who is looking to move on from a 2IC or Assistant Manager position up the farming ladder. We are a family business which started in the 1940s on a smallholding in Cheshire. Working with a thriving team, we are now involved in the management of ten herds in Cheshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire and Southwest Scotland.
