Family Time Worker - Full-Time (37 hours) and Part-Time (18.5 hours)
Location: Bolton Council - Children's Services - Staying Safe Team
Contract: Permanent
Working Pattern: Flexible - Including Evenings and Weekends
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and families? Bolton Council's Children's Services team is looking for dedicated and compassionate Family Time Workers to join our Staying Safe Service. We are currently recruiting for both a full-time (37 hours) and a part-time (18.5 hours) position.
As a Family Time Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, child-centred Family Time sessions to support positive outcomes for Looked After Children and their families. This is a rewarding and impactful role where you will contribute directly to care plans, support parenting capacity, and help safeguard children at risk.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and record meaningful Family Time sessions
- Contribute to risk assessments and safeguarding strategies
- Work directly with families to support reunification and improved parenting outcomes
- Collaborate closely with social workers and other professionals to ensure cohesive and effective support
- Manage a caseload and provide evidence-based interventions
- Support children with a variety of needs, including those with disabilities or behavioural challenges
- A Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Health and Social Care, Youth and Community Studies, or equivalent
- Experience working with children and families in a support or safeguarding setting
- Strong communication, organisational, and partnership-working skills
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential car user status)
