About the Role

Hammersmith & Fulham Council is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Early Years Practitioner to contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality early years care and education. You will play a key role in supporting children aged 0-5 years, working as part of a collaborative team to deliver excellent front-line services in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

This role focuses on both direct work with children and holistic support for families experiencing a wide range of circumstances, helping them to nurture their child's emotional, physical and learning development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of effective early years practices across the organisation.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to build a strong resource base and expert network to support families.
  • Deliver high-quality care and education to children aged birth to 5, in line with the EYFS curriculum.
  • Support families through education, guidance and coaching to enhance their child's health, emotional wellbeing and learning.
  • Provide frontline support mainly within Children's Centres, with some flexibility for work in other locations as needed.
  • Identify families with high levels of need and facilitate access to appropriate support services.
You May Support Families Experiencing:
  • Little or no family network, including newly arrived families or those with no recourse to public funds.
  • Unexpected life challenges such as bereavement, illness or family separation.
  • Crises including food poverty, financial hardship or housing instability.
  • Post-natal depression, low mood or attachment difficulties.
  • Disabilities, special educational needs or mental health needs affecting the child or parent.
About You

You are a compassionate and proactive early years professional who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families. You understand the importance of early intervention, holistic care and strong relationships.
