I'm currently working on a fantastic opportunity with a well-established, family-focused law firm based in Stockport, who are looking to grow their supportive and close-knit Family team. This role offers a real chance to make a difference in people's lives while working in a firm that values balance, flexibility, and community. They're seeking a Family Solicitor with 2+ years PQE, who can confidently manage a mixed caseload of private and legal aid matters. The firm is known for its down-to-earth and collaborative culture, and offers genuine flexibility - including two days of remote working per week.
The Role- You'll join a respected team that works across a broad range of family law matters, including:
- Care proceedings (both public and private law)
- Divorce & financial remedy
- Children Act applications
- Domestic abuse and injunctions
- Legal aid work (LAA experience highly desirable)
- You'll be supported by experienced colleagues, including accredited specialists, while still enjoying the autonomy to run your own files and build client relationships.
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales - minimum 2 years PQE (more senior candidates also encouraged to apply)
- Experience with both private and publicly funded family law
- Legal Aid experience essential - ideally with knowledge of CCMS and legal help billing
- Strong interpersonal and client care skills, with the ability to handle sensitive cases with empathy
- A collaborative and team-focused approach
- Hybrid working - 2 days from home per week
