Job Description
Agency Family Court Adviser - Birmingham & Stoke/Staffordshire Only Social Work England-registered Social Workers with full Right to Work in the UK will be considered. Please do not apply unless you meet both requirements.

We are recruiting two Agency Family Court Advisers (FCA) to support Cafcass across Birmingham and the Stoke/Staffordshire areas. These temporary positions provide essential cover for existing staff, including maternity or long term absence, and offer an opportunity to contribute to vital court-facing Social Work practice.

In these roles, you will represent the voices, safety and best interests of children involved in family court proceedings, undertaking assessments, providing clear evidence-based analysis, and making recommendations to the courts. You will work independently while being supported by a national organisation known for high standards, strong values, and a commitment to exceptional outcomes for children.

Essential Requirements
  • SWE registered Social Worker
  • Social Work qualification
  • Full Right to Work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
Desirable Requirements
  • 3+ years post qualifying experience
  • Strong court experience, including report writing and presenting evidence
