Position Overview

Delivering Gas Solutions To The British Industry. Energas is a key part of the Air Liquide Group presence in the UK. Energas are a leading service provider of cylinder gases to a variety of industry sectors in the UK, delivering a local and personal service, combined with global quality products and expert technical support. Energas supply a comprehensive range of cylinder gases to suit the needs of industry from stock. All of our cylinder gases are available in a variety of sizes, ranging from small portable cylinders through to high capacity cylinder packs. Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively coordinate business operations, ensuring the timely production and distribution of packaged gas to both internal and external customers.
  • Manage operational scheduling, supply chain, materials and shipping teams to deliver business and customer expectations, driving continuous improvement.
  • Oversee and mentor Production & Distribution supervisors to ensure a high level of proficiency and development.
  • Determine production requirements based on plant capacity and production specifications.
  • Identify and manage bottlenecks and capacity issues with the Production Management team, coordinating internally and externally to resolve the issues.
  • Evaluate current production processes and recommend improvements.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in new product development and enhancements.
  • Create weekly/monthly reports and KPIs.
  • Determine equipment, materials and manpower required to complete production.
  • Plan workflow and schedules for production departments.
  • Assist in employee hiring, training, performance evaluation, retention and termination activities.
  • Ensure relevant training and qualification is implemented and up to date.
  • Work outside of normal working hours as required.
Competencies & Requirements
  • Proven leadership ability with demonstrable experience in production and operations management.
  • Experience in HGV transport management / route planning.
  • Project management experience.
  • Strong practical understanding of stock and inventory control.
  • Continuous improvement experience.
  • Excellent organisational and task management ability.
  • Exceptional communicator across all levels.
  • IT proficiency.
