About the role - you will:A Facilities Technician Manager at our Springtown site in Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland. You will support day to day operational and site needs, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of facilities engineers, technicians and contractors, and lead the site to meet world class manufacturing and workplace standards.
About you:This role does not meet the criteria set by the Home Office for sponsorship on a Skilled Worker Visa as such sponsorship of this visa cannot be offered.
You will be a visible, organised and standards driven leader, comfortable holding employees, contractors and teams accountable, and bring a collaborative energy to the group.
Your experience includes:- Third level qualification in Engineering, Construction or Building Management (minimum HND)
- At least 5 years' experience in a supervisory or management role
- At least 2 years' experience in an industrial/factory environment
- Strong experience managing external contractors and service providers
- Clear understanding of EHS requirements and the ability to instill safe systems of work
- Proactive team player who communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Skilled in coordinating across multiple stakeholder groups
- Flexible and responsive to changing priorities and demands
- Confident in presenting to external companies and senior leadership
- Experience in contractor coordination or project management
- Background in facilities services maintenance and repair
- Manage the janitorial and catering contract, scope, requests and compliance
- Ensure site condition and fabric are of the highest standards
- Coordinate other site services and contracts as needed (e.g. grit, tree pruning, carpark facilities)
- Manage facilities service requests
- Facilitate large on site meeting/communication events
- Liaise with shift based technician managers to ensure continuity and support of ongoing actions and activities on shift pass down reports
- Generate PM and service request completion rate reports and audit area and plant inspections
- Prioritise and manage training and development needs and completion for facilities shift personnel
- Support ordering of parts and liaise with Materials Services on PM stock levels
- Create and review RAMS and work permits
- Administer the permit system to ensure validity of PQQ, site inductions and insurance
- Schedule and coordinate quarterly update meetings with on site contractors
- Follow up on accident/incident incidents and corrective actions
- Attend and contribute to EHS weekly meetings
- Follow up on corrective action closure
- Support audits and inspections
- Collaborate with EHS partners on day to day matters
