The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient operation of warehouse and office facilities within a fast paced logistics environment. This role oversees maintenance activities, manages contractors and leads on site teams to support business continuity and operational excellence.

ResponsibilitiesFacilities & Building Maintenance
- Lead day to day maintenance operations across warehouse and office facilities.
- Ensure building fabric (floors, walls, roofing, docks, doors, etc.) is maintained to a high standard.
- Manage planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive works via the Planon system.
Equipment & Infrastructure
- Oversee maintenance of critical infrastructure, including dock levellers, roller doors, HVAC, lighting, plumbing and electrical systems.
- Coordinate specialist contractors for servicing and statutory inspections.
- Minimise operational disruption during maintenance activity.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and internal standards.
- Maintain statutory inspection records (e.g. fire alarms, emergency lighting, lifts).
- Conduct regular site inspections and manage permit to work processes.
- Oversee waste management suppliers and contractor inductions.
Contractor, Budget & Team Management
- Manage external contractors and suppliers through Planon, ensuring value for money and service quality.
- Identify cost saving opportunities and approve invoices.
- Supervise on site maintenance staff, reception and cleaning teams, providing guidance and workload planning.
Documentation & Audit
- Maintain accurate, audit ready maintenance records.
- Support internal and external audits as required.
- Previous experience in facilities or maintenance supervision.
- Proven contractor management experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of facilities and building maintenance.
- Sound understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
- Health & Safety qualification (IOSH / NEBOSH desirable).
- Experience within a warehouse or logistics environment (preferred).
- Organised, solutions focused and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive and hands on leadership style.
- Detail oriented with strong commercial awareness.
- Calm, resilient and effective under pressure.
