Job Description
Overview

MBDA Facilities Management is searching for an exceptional Facilities Project Manager to be based at our Stevenage site to manage a diverse range of construction and facilities projects.

Salary: Circa £60,000 depending on experience.

Working arrangement: Hybrid - minimum 3 days per week on site. Fixed term contract for 2 years.

Security clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship. All successful candidates will undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS) after the offer.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate business critical construction and facilities projects, ensuring timely and within budget delivery.
  • Develop project requirements, support procurement and produce fully cost business cases to secure senior management funding approval.
  • Manage projects up to £10million in value, focusing on business supporting works for MBDA UK.
  • Develop project plans, coordinate with internal teams and oversee external contractors to meet milestones.
  • Understand and apply the RIBA stages of project delivery.
  • Conduct thorough site assessments to ensure compliance with MBDA's standards and regulations.
  • Apply project management expertise to oversee quality control and risk management.
  • Lead and develop teams, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and providing regular project updates to executive and director level colleagues.
  • Implement problem solving strategies to address challenges and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in project management with a proven track record on operational sites.
  • Proficiency in managing construction projects, particularly with health & safety focus.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to lead and coordinate teams.
  • Strong financial acumen - skilled in budgeting and reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills with ability to influence.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Proficient in project management software tools.
  • Drive business development projects, contributing to critical upgrades and improvements.
