Reporting directly to theGeneral Manager - Facilities, the post holder will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-qualitycleaning servicesacross all hospital sites.
This is a high-impact role and the post holder will be accountable for a significant operational portfolio. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to patient experience and service quality across the Trust.
Main duties of the jobOn a day to day basis, duties will include:-
- Leading the delivery of cleaning and food services to wards and departments across designated sites.
- Acting as theTrust-wide Cleaning Lead, setting and maintaining consistent cleaning standards across all hospitals.
- Supporting the General Manager in driving service improvements and implementing innovative practices following successful trials.
- Managing service budgets, ensuring financial balance, and producing monthly exception reports with remedial action plans.
The ideal candidate will:-
- Be educated to degree level or possess relevant qualifications with significant experience in a senior facilities role.
- Be a confident leader with excellent communication skills, with an interest in developing people to reach business goals in different service areas
- Have significant experience in budget management
- Have demonstrable experience in managing large staff groups in complex services

Person specification Qualifications- Educated to degree level or Level 6 or equivalent experience in a service industry
- Health and Safety IOSH
- Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate
- Ability to gain co-operation from NHS staff at various levels of the organisation for the effective development of the service.
- Proven ability to analyse and resolve complex issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately both written and verbally
