Our team is based at our Head Office just outside The Peak District National Park off jct28 of the M1 corridor.
PositionWe are recruiting for a Facilities Officer. This role forms part of the Facilities Team, responsible for delivering safe, compliant and effective site operations across the business.
Key Responsibilities of a Facilities Officer including but not limited to:- Provide day to day facilities support across offices, warehouses and external areas.
- Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs (non certified works only).
- Support housekeeping, cleaning contractors and internal office moves.
- Assist with site security, waste management, recycling and winter gritting.
- Complete routine health & safety and statutory checks (fire, emergency lighting, Legionella).
- Support Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and contractor coordination.
- Maintain accurate compliance and maintenance records.
- Assist with company fleet administration, including servicing, MOTs, licence checks and insurance support.
To join us as Facilities Officer you must have:
- Previous experience of working on own initiative in a facilities, estates, maintenance or site support role.
- Practical understanding of building maintenance, statutory requirements, and site operations.
- Self motivated, disciplined and able to prioritise effectively.
- Willingness to carry out routine statutory checks (Legionella, fire safety, emergency lighting) following training.
- Good IT skills, including confident use of MS Office.
- Strong record keeping ability and attention to detail.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety principles.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to undertake required training (e.g. forklift truck)
- Experience of using CAFM software to manage and prioritise workload.
- Fire safety or emergency procedures training.
- Forklift truck licence.
- Experience working with external contractors.
- Health & Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH/NEBOSH).
- Salary £25,552.80 - £27,799.54 commensurate with qualifications, skills and experience
