We are seeking a strategic, hands-on team leader to join us as Facilities Management Lead, where you'll oversee the operational delivery and strategic oversight of our extensive property portfolio. Working closely with asset managers, property managers and external contractors, you will ensure optimal outcomes for our clients and create safe, efficient environments for our tenants.
You will be responsible for leading both internal and external teams to deliver best-in-class facilities management across key deliverables including health and safety, procurement, ESG.

Key Responsibilities- Set and drive Facilities Management strategy, ensuring alignment to business goals
- Lead KPI reporting for the function, collaborating across integrated teams to meet combined reporting requirements where needed
- Monitor progress towards KPIs and lead and support team to deliver to these goals, reporting performance to Directors via QBRs
- Ensure appropriate client delivery, service and profitability on a mandate-by-mandate basis
- Oversee preventive and reactive maintenance programs to ensure asset longevity and minimise downtime
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate service contracts for cleaning, security, HVAC, landscaping, etc., ensuring performance and value
- Oversee and authorise service provider invoices to ensure timely and accurate payments
- Handle and resolve complex technical issues escalated from the facilities team
- Lead and manage onboarding of all new assets into our systems and processes, ensuring full integration and compliance
- Lead crisis and business continuity planning, preparing for emergencies (e.g., power outages, natural disasters) with robust contingency plans
- Provide reporting of internally and externally managed health and safety, procurement, cyclical, and reactive maintenance activities
- Leverage systems and automation to improve efficiency and data-driven decision-making and seek continued operational improvements and efficiencies where required
- Drive the adoption of smart building technologies and sustainability measures to reduce operating costs and improve ESG outcomes
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure all properties meet legal and regulatory standards, including fire safety, accessibility, and occupational health; manage and distribute regular reports to monitor and improve workplace safety
- Monitor and improve compliance ratings based on actions tracked in the CAFM system 'Property Plus'
- Lead and develop the internal and external facilities management teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Share knowledge, lead by example and be the point of contact for complex queries and challenges both internally and externally
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics, monitoring progress supporting the team to deliver
- Provide 1 to 1 support and drive continued training and development of the team
- 10+ years of facilities management experience within the real estate or property management industry
- Experience leading cross-functional internal and external teams
- Robust knowledge of health & safety and regulatory requirements
- Strong budgeting, reporting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ensuring good ability to manage stakeholder relationships
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Normal Hours of work for this role are 5 days a week 9.00 am - 5:30 pm based in the Company's Manchester office
- Hybrid working policy with 1 day per week WFH in addition to ad hoc requests
- Must be flexible and able to work extended hours as likely necessary on occasion
- May be required to travel both within the United Kingdom and abroad
