Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
Job overviewTo work as part of a team carrying out comprehensive waste audits, reporting data to the Waste Manager and providing administration support.
Main duties of the job- Undertake waste audits across all areas in line with National Health Technical Memorandum 07-01 Safe and Sustainable Management of Healthcare Waste.
- Collect data from the audits and upload into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
- Prepare audit reports and discuss findings, including feedback of any issues or concerns with the management team.
- GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent).
- NVQ level 2 in administration or equivalent.
- Knowledge of administration or clerical systems and processes.
- Good use of IT systems.
- Previous experience of audit.
- Knowledge of Health Technical Memorandum 07-01 Safe and Sustainable Management of Healthcare Waste.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with tact and diplomacy.
- General Microsoft Office 365 skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
- Teamwork ability and supportive team member.
- Awareness of NHS structure and current challenges.
- Understanding of confidentiality and discretion.
- Flexibility.
- Willingness to adopt new working practices.
- Ability to travel.
