About Your New Job

As Contract Manager, you will provide leadership, management and development across a defined facilities management contract. You will be responsible for ensuring all financial, operational, contractual, quality, health and safety and legislative commitments are met and exceeded.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the contract team to deliver exceptional service and meet all contractual commitments.
  • Manage contract financial performance, including revenue, profitability, cost reduction, debt, work in progress and contract growth.
  • Identify and deliver opportunities for strategic development, additional services and business growth.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key client contacts, ensuring a consistently high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, QHSE standards, legislation and industry best practice.
  • Oversee the health and safety performance of employees, clients, subcontractors and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure the contract is appropriately staffed, with competent teams, effective workforce planning and succession plans in place.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, guidance and support to employees, including training and development planning.
  • Work collaboratively with other operational managers to support the wider business.
  • Contribute to sales activity, solutions development, presentations, client meetings and the mobilisation of new contracts.
  • Deliver effective communication through team meetings, briefings, reporting and regular client updates.
  • Support continuous improvement, innovation and the delivery of best practice across the contract.

You will report to a senior operational manager and will have line management responsibility for the contract team, as well as indirect responsibility for relevant subcontractors.

What Skills You Need
  • A minimum of five years' proven facilities management experience in Ireland.
  • A relevant engineering or facilities management background, ideally with mechanical or electrical knowledge.
  • Strong experience managing client relationships, site teams, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Proven experience managing contract finances, operational performance and service delivery.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a detailed and methodical approach.
  • Strong leadership, influencing and decision-making skills.
  • The ability to prioritise effectively and remain composed when working under pressure.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A customer-focused and collaborative approach.
  • The flexibility to work outside core office hours occasionally and travel to other work locations when required.
  • A relevant higher qualification such as an HNC, HND, degree or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
