EYFS Teaching Assistant - Waltham Forest

Full-Time Teaching Assistant - To Start as soon as possible

Location - Waltham Forest

Position - Full-time (Monday-Friday)

We're working with welcoming and inclusive primary schools and nurseries inWaltham Forestwho are looking for a caring and enthusiasticEYFS Teaching Assistantto support their youngest learners. You'll work closely with the class teacher to create a safe, engaging environment where children can explore, play, and build the foundations for lifelong learning.

If you're nurturing, energetic, and enjoy getting stuck into creative, hands on activities, this could be a brilliant opportunity to step into a truly rewarding role.

What you'll be doing:
  • Supporting children in Nursery or Reception with daily classroom routines and activities
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging, play based learning
  • Helping children develop early skills in communication, phonics, numbers, and social interaction
  • Working with small groups or individual children to support their learning and confidence
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting children with emotional development
  • Helping create a warm, stimulating environment where every child feels safe, valued, and ready to learn
What we're looking for:

The right fit for this role is someone who is:

  • Passionate about working with young children in an Early Years setting
  • Patient, caring, and naturally nurturing
  • Proactive and happy to get involved in creative and practical classroom activities
  • A confident communicator who can build positive relationships with children and staff
  • Adaptable and able to support a busy, energetic Early Years classroom

Experience in an EYFS setting is helpful, but a genuine interest in supporting children at this important stage of development is just as valuable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
