EYFS Teacher - Full-Time Permanent Role (September 2026)

Location: Derby City CentrePay: MPS/UPS (Paid to Scale)Contract: Full-time, permanentStart Date: September 2026

Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming primary school in Derby City Centre to appoint a confident and enthusiastic EYFS Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive early years team and play a key role in shaping children's first experiences of education.

This role suits both experienced EYFS teachers and ECTs who are passionate about early development and learning through play.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging EYFS lessons in line with the curriculum
  • Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
  • Adapt learning activities to meet a range of developmental needs
  • Track and assess pupil progress, sharing updates with staff and parents
  • Support early phonics and communication development
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and wider staff

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (EYTS)
  • Experience within EYFS
  • Strong understanding of early years development and phonics
  • Positive behaviour management and communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
