Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the GGC advanced practice Physiotherapy team. The post will be based in the regional neurosurgical spinal outpatients service. The post holder will be expected to work as an autonomous expert musculoskeletal practitioner in the neurosurgical clinics utilizing highly specialist spinal knowledge to determine appropriate neurosurgical management e.g. listing for surgery, imaging, and onward referral. The post holder will be required to lead on service improvement projects and service audits following QI methodology to continually improve the patient's pathways and experience. As a regional service the post holder will be required to provide education for colleagues across the West of Scotland. In addition to the neurosurgical clinics there is a requirement to maintain a physiotherapy clinical caseload of patients with complex conditions. Candidates should have evidence of degree in physiotherapy, HCPC registration and evidence of post graduate education relevant to the specialty. Candidates should also have significant post graduate experience, specifically within musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Applicants should have prior experience at band 7 level. The Shift Pattern for this post is worked 5 days over 7.
