Exposure Management- 6 month contract

Overview

My client, a leading provider in the London specialty insurance market, seeks an experienced Exposure Management Manager to join a specialist team of five professionals during a period of significant market growth and strategic development. This role will focus on managing catastrophe and non-catastrophe risk across a defined portfolio of syndicates, leading market strategy initiatives, and overseeing the implementation of emerging exposure management tools and methodologies.

Role Overview

This role will focus on managing catastrophe and non-catastrophe risk across a defined portfolio of syndicates, leading market strategy initiatives, and overseeing the implementation of emerging exposure management tools and methodologies. The successful candidate will work closely with portfolio syndicates and senior market leaders, providing technical oversight, relationship management, and strategic guidance on exposure management practices across both natural and non-natural catastrophe risks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee exposure management and risk strategy for a select group of syndicates.
• Lead technical analysis and compliance reviews of catastrophe and non-catastrophe risk.
• Maintain strong relationships with syndicate teams and senior market stakeholders.
• Guide adoption of new tools and approaches within exposure management.
• Contribute to strategic business objectives and internal reporting.

Requirements

• Significant London market exposure management experience, ideally 7+ years.
• Advanced skills in catastrophe modelling and risk analytics tools.
• Proven ability to build relationships and influence at senior level.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
• Solid understanding of regulatory and market practices.
