I'm partnering with a leading organic and sustainable food manufacturer, established for over 3 decades and recognised as one of the UK's most respected pioneers in ethical, planet positive food production.
My client are based in South East England but will offer ample flexibility to allow the successful candidate to travel to meet customers and work from home, enabling them to excel within this role.
Job DescriptionAs the business continues to scale, we're looking to appoint an Export Sales Manager - Germany, France and Netherlands to take full ownership of their European business and drive growth. With the main markets being France, Germany and Netherlands, we are looking for a candidate with a proven track record within these markets to take ownership of their existing distributor relationships and drive growth through new distribution or new direct-to-grocery, independents, online and health food store partnerships.
Roles- Manage / review and grow existing distributor relationships across Germany, France and Netherlands (small amount of existing business)
- Establish new distributors and/or new direct-to-grocery, independents, online and health food stores partnerships within Germany, France and Netherlands
- Take full commercial and P&L ownership of the European business
- Travel to see customers when required
- Ensure achievement of sales targets and objectives in the designated regions.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to management.
- Represent the company at trade shows, events, and meetings.
The Successful Export Sales Manager - Germany, France and Netherlands:
- Proven track record within the food industry (FMCG)
- Proven track record working within France / Germany / Netherlands
- Experience opening new distributors or gaining new listing within retail in France / Germany / Netherlands
- Business level proficiency in at least one additional European language (French, Dutch or German)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in a professional setting.
- Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets effectively.
- Proficiency in analysing market trends and competitor activities.
The Successful Export Sales Manager - Germany, France and Netherlands:
- Competitive salary ranging from £65,000 to £75,000 per annum.
- Performance based bonus of up to 20%.
