Job Description
Experienced Volunteer Counsellors

The Jewish Bereavement Counselling Service (JBCS) seeks experienced volunteer counsellors and social workers to provide bereavement counselling to individuals and families following a loss.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver one to one bereavement counselling sessions, ranging from 2 to 5 hours.
  • Work with individuals and families in a confidential, supportive environment.
  • Maintain accurate session notes and follow organisational protocols.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in counselling, social work, or a related field.
  • Strong empathy, active listening, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to commit to flexible sessions, including evenings and weekends.
Training & Supervision

JBCS provides comprehensive training and ongoing professional supervision for all volunteer counsellors.
