Background

This is a maternity cover role supporting two busy partners in our award winning Tax team, as well as supporting the wider Commercial group in day to day tasks.

Reports to: Practice Support Manager, Commercial 1

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to partners and other colleagues in the Tax practice group and wider Commercial team.
  • Comprehensive email and diary management.
  • Managing AML requirements for client onboarding, ensuring all procedures are followed.
  • Managing the billing process to include time entry, invoicing, client account balances and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Managing audit/accrual requests for clients.
  • Maintaining electronic files to ensure all records are up to date and easily accessible.
  • Creating, editing and formatting legal documents and templates.
  • Digital dictation.
  • Coordinating travel arrangements, meetings and itineraries.
  • Processing expenses.
  • Maintaining and updating client marketing database.
  • Ad hoc duties as required.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
  • 4+ years' experience as a Legal Secretary PA/EA, ideally within a law firm.
  • In depth experience with client billing/payments systems.
  • Excellent IT skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • High degree of attention to detail.
  • Typing skills of at least 60 words per minute.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written.
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Team player, who can also work on their own initiative.
