THE ROLE

This advert is part of our evergreen freelance talent pool. We'll review applications on an ongoing basis and contact candidates when relevant work becomes available. The role sits outside IR35.

Grand Visual is seeking a talented freelance Creative Tech to join our London team on an ad hoc project basis, supporting the delivery of interactive Digital Out of Home (DOOH) projects. This role sits within our Creative Technology department, acting as the crucial link between creative and technical teams to ensure innovative ideas are brought to life in a thoughtful, effective way.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

You'll be responsible for helping to plan and shape interactive projects, prioritising quality user experience at every stage. You'll advise on the sensible application of technology ensuring it's only used where it genuinely enhances the end experience. Your input will be vital in the creation of user journey flow diagrams and technical wiring diagrams, translating creative concepts into robust, deliverable solutions.

Another key aspect of this role is the development of comprehensive test plans designed to guarantee the stability and security of all our public facing experiences. You'll ensure that each project is thoroughly tested, with a particular focus on security considerations relevant to DOOH environments.

• Plan and shape interactive projects with a focus on quality user experience
• Advise on effective use of technology, ensuring it adds genuine value
• Create user journey flow diagrams and technical wiring diagrams
• Develop and execute robust test plans to ensure stability and security
• Collaborate with creative and technical teams throughout the production process
• Maintain up to date knowledge of interactive technologies and techniques
• Comfort in working across Mac, Windows, and Linux environments

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience planning and delivering interactive technology projects
• An understanding of software development process, especially within Unity
• Ability to create clear user journey and wiring diagrams
• Understanding of digital out of home (DOOH) environments is a bonus
