Job brief

We are looking for an Events Manager to join the Events Team at The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, organising and running events. While this will largely focus on supporting the Sales Team with attendance and exhibitions at trade shows, this will also include the organisation of internal events such as sales and marketing kick off, company socials, and customer focused bespoke events.

As an Events Manager you will be responsible for managing the whole event process from the planning stage, right through to execution and carrying out the post event evaluation. There will also be the requirement to attend and run events, both in the UK and overseas. Furthermore, you will also be involved in the annual event planning process, which will include budget support and reporting on completed events.

You will be expected to work closely with teams both internally and externally to deliver events. Whether working with legal to secure contracts, or booth suppliers ahead of exhibitions, you will often be the first point of contact, responsible for ensuring events are delivered on time, according to budget and to the highest standard.

Working hours

You'll generally work normal office hours in the lead up to an event, but may need to work extra hours, including evenings and weekends, closer to the event. For some events, travel will be required to support the team attending the event.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with the Sales team to plan and execute the events that are taking part in
  • Assist the Sales team in researching and reviewing potential events according to our events sign off process
  • Liaise with venues, suppliers, and contractors to secure best available costs
  • Execute and deliver all events on time, within budget, and that meet expectations
  • Manage all event elements from booking travel and hotels to signing off exhibition stands
  • Work with internal teams to ensure smooth running of the events (e.g. the Legal team for agreements, etc.)
  • Work with the Marketing team to publicise and promote the event
  • Arrange internal events including dinners, team building, Sales & Marketing kick off, etc.
  • Conduct post event debriefs and produce post event evaluations to inform future events
  • Work with the Sales and Marketing team to produce the events plan for the following year, including budget support
  • At least four years' experience as an event manager, preferably in the B2B space
  • We welcome applicants with events experience in other industries who are keen to work in the tech industry
