Job Description

Job Title: Events Coordinator

Location: Brighton, East Sussex (Office-based / Hybrid options available)Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)Reporting to: Events Manager / Marketing Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organised, creative, and detail-oriented Events Coordinator to join our team in Brighton. This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering a variety of events, ensuring each one runs smoothly and successfully from concept through to completion.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication skills, and be passionate about creating high-quality event experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Plan, organise, and execute a range of events (e.g. corporate events, conferences, networking events, launches)
  • Develop event timelines, schedules, and budgets
  • Coordinate all logistics, including venues, suppliers, and equipment

Supplier & Venue Management

  • Liaise with venues, caterers, AV suppliers, and other vendors
  • Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships
  • Ensure all event requirements are clearly communicated and delivered

On-the-Day Event Management

  • Oversee event setup, delivery, and breakdown
  • Act as the main point of contact during events
  • Manage any issues or last-minute changes efficiently

Marketing & Promotion Support

  • Assist with promoting events through email campaigns, social media, and marketing materials
  • Coordinate guest lists, invitations, and RSVP tracking
  • Work closely with marketing teams on event branding and messaging

Budget & Administration

  • Track event budgets and ensure cost-effective delivery
  • Process invoices and manage expenses
  • Maintain accurate records and event documentation

Post-Event Evaluation

  • Gather feedback from attendees and stakeholders
  • Evaluate event success against objectives
  • Produce reports with insights and recommendations for future events

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience in an events, coordination, or administrative role
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management tools

Desirable

  • Experience in corporate or large-scale event planning
  • Knowledge of marketing or social media promotion
  • Experience managing budgets and supplier contracts
