Job Description

As a specialist in event security, reporting hierarchically to the head of the Security, Intervention and Safety Service (SIS) of the Security Domain (DSE), he/she ensures that events taking place on EPFL sites and at the STCC are organized in compliance with current safety and health regulations. He/she carries out direct missions in health and safety at work according to the needs set by the head of the SIS or the Director of the DSE for the entities of EPFL. Main tasks and responsibilities:Main Activities:- Analysis of event files organized mainly on the EPFL site from a security perspective and definition of safety and health concepts for events mainly organized on the site of - Definition of the necessary resources to ensure the safety and health missions defined in the and supervision of the implementation of the concepts.- Management of safety and health measures (resources) during certain events (also in the evening and/or weekends) and execution of security checks of infrastructures and arrangements in place for the events.Secondary Activities as an event security specialist:- Assisting students with specific projects according to the needs of the SIS and the professional training background and continuous education of higher vocational examination (EPS), specialized school (ES).
