Event Operations Strategy Manager

We are seeking a highly analytical and operationally minded Event Operations Strategy Manager to help improve how we plan, deliver, and continuously evolve our global event operations.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, supporting the Event Operations team by identifying inefficiencies, improving processes, and helping standardise how we deliver world-class events across the T100 calendar. You will use data to understand operational performance, challenge existing ways of working, and help translate lessons learned into scalable improvements that enhance delivery quality, reduce complexity, and improve operational efficiency.
Reporting to our Business Strategy Associate, this role is based at our London HQ.
Key Role Responsibilities Strategic Project Delivery- Act as cross-event lead, supporting projects and priorities that sit across the full portfolio of events rather than within a single event team.
- Support strategic operational initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring projects remain aligned to timelines and business objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across Sport, Partnerships, Marketing, Broadcast, and Event Operations.
- Track and create project milestones, risks, dependencies, and operational readiness throughout the planning cycle by creating and managing Gantt charts and project timelines
- Analyse event operations data to identify trends, bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities to improve event delivery and participant experience.
- Conduct post-event reviews, translating learnings into practical improvements for future races.
- Develop KPIs and operational dashboards to measure efficiency, delivery quality, and resource utilisation across the event portfolio.
- Benchmark operational practices against leading sporting events and identify opportunities to improve standards.
- Support the creation and continuous improvement of operational playbooks, templates, manuals, planning tools, and other documentation.
- Identify repetitive operational tasks that can be standardised or automated to improve consistency across events and markets.
- Work alongside Event Leads to refine planning processes and improve operational workflows from event planning through to delivery.
- Partner closely with Event Directors and operational teams to understand challenges and develop practical solutions.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and operational insights for senior leadership to support decision-making.
- Act as a central point of coordination between departments, ensuring operational priorities remain aligned throughout the event lifecycle.
- 2-4 years' experience in operations, event delivery, consulting, strategy, or business improvement.
- Strong analytical mindset with advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills.
- Detail-oriented, highly organised, and comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands on execution
- Experience analysing operational performance and translating data into practical improvements.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple workstreams across fast moving projects.
- Naturally curious, always looking for opportunities to simplify, improve and standardise ways of working.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Experience within international events, sport, live entertainment, consulting or logistics would be highly desirable.
- Familiarity with project management tools, dashboards or business intelligence platforms is advantageous.
