EU Procurement Analyst

Pay Rate: £30,000 Grade: M Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Shift patterns: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm (Hybrid working, 2 days at home, 3 days in office) Location: Birmingham

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Identifying and implementing the most reliable and cost effective freight solutions for the contract for their European transport activity.
• Liaise with the DHL LLP carrier base.
• Procurement analyst will collaborate closely with other DHL LLP teams.
• Carrying out on-going carrier research to identify potential new carriers.
• Providing support to EU procurement managers on strategic re-plans, contingency planning and benchmarking.
• Maintaining team's documents - rate matrix, route profiles, RAS's etc.
• Implementing all required day-to-day changes to collection network while taking into account cost/ service level /risk /customer's perspective. Identifying improvements to routes.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Possess strong Excel skills, including experience with formulas, VLOOKUPs and XLOOKUPs
• Are proficient in Microsoft Office packages
• Have excellent attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities
• Are comfortable working with data and producing accurate results
• Ideally have exposure to European transport or experience working in a similar environment (desirable, not essential)
