A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE:
- Monitor and update supplier volumes daily to identify potential cost savings via co-loads or part loads.
- Maintain relationships to ensure timelines are met and discuss any issues.
- Negotiate rates, decide on carrier coverage, escalate over-shipping issues to the customer, and implement co-load planning.
- Manage a variety of carriers based on volumes, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Manage loads for Road, Rail, and Sea Freight.
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO:
- Have planning experience within a Logistics & Supply Chain environment.
- Possess freight industry knowledge (desired).
- Have good geographical knowledge.
- Have good IT skills with MS packages.
