In this key role, you will support the day-to-day operations of our Global Ethics & Compliance Office, acting as a vital resource for the enterprise and assisting in the oversight of ethics initiatives and programs.The successful candidate will be an advocate for a culture of integrity-working closely with stakeholders in Legal, HR, Finance, and Communications to implement pragmatic compliance solutions. You will provide the essential support and coordination required to ensure our global operations maintain the highest standards of ethics and regulatory adherence.This is a permanent / FTC position designed for an ambitious professional looking to grow their career within a sophisticated global compliance function.Key responsibilities include: Program Coordination: Support the execution of compliance program management, assisting with self-assessments and gathering data for root cause analysis Operational Support: Assist in the management of the Global Ethics & Compliance Office, including drafting E&C materials, and internal communications Helpline Administration: Administer the company's global Helpline program by managing case intake, tracking system workflows, and monitoring the completion of corrective actions Disclosure Management: Support the Conflict of Interest and Gift Disclosure programs, monitoring disclosures and ensuring all related training and case management tasks are up to date Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with regional teams to share best practices and work with stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential compliance process gaps Reporting & Research: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and assist in creating presentations and documentation for Ethics & Compliance standing meetings and townhalls About you Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant area with demonstrable experience in a Legal or Compliance environment Experience of Project Management in a similar complex, matrix environment Solid understanding of compliance principles, with the ability to learn and manage case management systems and disclosure workflows A proactive professional with a "learning on the fly" mindset, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong writing and research skills, with the ability to draft clear policies and engage effectively with stakeholders across different functions Proven ability to handle highly confidential information with diplomacy and sound judgment A collaborative team player dedicated to supporting the business while maintaining a rigorous focus on ethics and internal governance Benefits Competitive salary 25 days annual holiday plus bank holidays Pension scheme, life assurance and income protection Employee Assistance Programme Employee Discounts Cycle to work scheme Location: This is a hybrid role, split between the London Paddington office (3 days) and home (2 days).We are DS Smith, together with International Paper, we are a global leader in sustainable packaging solutions and other fibre-based products.
