Permanent PositionCompetitive Salary DOEFree Onsite ParkingStraight Days - Early Finish on Fridays33 days Flexible Holiday I am currently working with an sub-contract engineering business in Redditch, who are now recruiting for an Estimator to join their existing team.Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Estimator will come from a technical background in either engineering or manufacturing who can operate in a commercial role to estimate new enquiries and assist the team. The main requirements of the Estimator will be to:

• Interpret customers' requirements from specifications and drawings.
• Using software to create quotations and price proposals.
• Liaise with suppliers for material and sub-contract costs.
• Deal with client's technical questions with support from the company's manufacturing engineers.
• Promote the business and follow up on enquiries to maximise new business opportunities.
• Following up existing enquiries to encourage feedback from our customers.
• Liaising with the engineering, production, and quality staff to ensure the customer's specific requirements are communicated to staff in all departments.

The ideal candidate for the Estimator will have:

• Good understanding of manufacturing principles.
• Experience in sheet metal and fabrication industry
• Proven experience in a customer service role within a business-to-business environment.
• Ability to organise and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to communicate clearly.
• Working knowledge of MS Office.
• 2D CAD experience, handling and analysing dxf and dwg files.
• The ability to use 3D CAD software would also be advantageous but training can be provided if required.

In return, the Estimator can expect to receive a competitive salary, depending on their level of experience and knowledge, free onsite parking, 33 days holiday entitlement (20 flexible days +8 bank holidays + 5 to be kept for Christmas shutdown).
