We are looking for a suitably qualified, well motivated individual to join our small team of estate professionals. You will play a critical role in the efficient management of the estate, including the operation and maintenance of the Trust's engineering services and buildings infrastructure.

The post holder will be responsible for the coordination and daily operation of the Trust's Estates Maintenance, primarily relating to Electrical systems and equipment; managing and supervising staff and contractors in the provision of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and a responsive, reactive maintenance and repair service to the Trust and contracted organisations.
The post holder will be required to undertake a full range of engineering/ building services duties and responsibilities relating to operational maintenance and minor works projects.
Job responsibilities- Responsible for the management and supervision of engineering staff and others when required.
- Ensure PPM works are completed and are issued to engineering, contractors for completion by the planned date. Supervise and monitor work to ensure timely completion. Ensure reactive maintenance defect requests are effectively prioritised, issued and completed without undue delay.
- Act as Authorised Person, or Deputy Authorised Person, to ensure the Trust is legally compliant in the relevant areas.
- Skilled in: problem solving, organisational prioritisation, analysis.
- Strongly self motivated and able to motivate others.
- Educated to BTEC, HNC or HND in engineering, or equivalent qualification.
- Completed apprenticeship in an approved craft.
- Other relevant qualification, e.g. in general management.
- Suitable experience in a role combining technical/operational Estate Services managerial work.
- Experience/training and in depth knowledge of: electrical and mechanical building services, knowledge of statutory health and safety requirements and their application/management, Planned Preventative Maintenance, Technical fault diagnosis/problem solving, Management of asbestos.
- Have experience of: staff management, budget management, delivering simple training packages to staff, contract supervision, change management.
- Management of Legionella risks, safe use of low voltage electrical systems, development, operation and use of building management systems.
- Skilled in: problem solving, organisational prioritisation, analysis, I.T., communication skills (written and verbal), interpersonal relations, numeracy, negotiation.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Strongly self motivated and able to motivate others.
- Team player.
- Awareness of clinical services.
- Knowledge and understanding of Health Technical Memorandum (HTM) and other guidance relating to the estate management function.
- Participate in the Estate Services 24-hour on-call rota.
- Able to attend events outside Sheffield.
- Hold a full, clean driving licence.
- Have a flexible approach to duties/hours of work.
- Be prepared to undertake training as required to achieve full potential of the position.
