Job Description

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Parking Appeals and Representation officer on a 2-year fixed-term contract to assist the Estate parking team in continuously improving our parking service. The post is based in London Bridge at our Tooley Street offices.

You will contribute to achieving quality customer care, including providing excellent customer service to our residents using your detailed knowledge of parking and traffic enforcement.

You will use your IT, people skills, and knowledge to carry out activities such as dealing with representations, parking appeals, and customer complaints at various stages of the statutory process. You will also provide feedback on issues raised to management and contractors.

The goal is to meet service targets and foster continuous improvement.

An essential part of the role is to stay updated on the legal framework surrounding parking and traffic enforcement, including government guidelines and statistical returns.

This role aims to develop pride, passion, and a 'can-do' attitude, reducing complex investigations and focusing staff on delivering services 'right first time'. You will investigate parking representations made against enforcement on the Council's housing estates and deregulated car parks, handling administrative duties, and making decisions on appropriate actions.

To succeed, you'll work in line with the Council's vision, values, and strategic aims, ensuring excellent customer service. You will be the main contact and act as the lead officer for our parking contractor regarding enforcement on the council's estate land.
