Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support a major PLM implementation within a retail environment.

The organisation is currently implementing Centric 8 PLM while operating on a custom-built, homegrown ERP platform. Alongside the PLM programme, there are future plans to migrate the existing ERP landscape to SAP S/4HANA.

The Project Manager will take ownership of the PLM implementation while also helping the business understand and manage the dependencies between Centric PLM, the current ERP environment and the future S/4HANA landscape.

A key focus will be ensuring that decisions made during the PLM implementation remain practical both for the current environment and the planned ERP transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the Centric 8 PLM implementation, managing scope, timelines, risks, dependencies and stakeholders.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, technical teams, business stakeholders and implementation partners.
• Manage the integration dependencies between Centric PLM and the existing homegrown ERP platform.
• Understand how PLM processes and integrations may need to operate temporarily against the Legacy ERP before the organisation transitions to SAP S/4HANA.
• Identify potential impacts that the future S/4HANA migration could have on the PLM architecture, integrations, data flows and business processes.
• Ensure that short-term PLM integration decisions do not create unnecessary complexity when the new ERP is introduced.
• Coordinate technical discussions around APIs, interfaces, Middleware, data flows and custom integrations.
• Work effectively within an environment containing significant custom-built and .NET-based applications.
• Manage project risks associated with Legacy systems, custom development and changing application architecture.
• Maintain project plans, RAID logs, governance, reporting and stakeholder communication.
• Support testing, cutover, deployment and transition into BAU.

Required Experience

• Strong experience working as a Project Manager on PLM implementations.
• Good functional understanding of Product Lifecycle Management processes and systems.
• Experience working with Centric PLM/Centric 8 is highly desirable.
• Experience delivering projects involving integrations between PLM and ERP systems.
• Previous experience working with custom-built or homegrown ERP/application environments.
• Comfortable managing projects where Legacy systems contain significant bespoke functionality and integrations.
• Good understanding of .NET environments and custom-developed enterprise applications.
• Ability to work pragmatically within complex Legacy environments rather than relying solely on standard packaged solutions.
• Experience managing technical integrations, interfaces and data dependencies across multiple systems.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams.
