Job Description
Position: Sr. Business Analyst
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst or Consultant with deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, specifically in Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Project Accounting, etc.).
This role will act as a key link between Finance stakeholders and IT, responsible for analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, designing solutions, system configuration and supporting implementation and continuous improvement of financial systems on the D365 F&O platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between Finance stakeholders and the technical delivery team for D365 F&O.
- Lead requirements gathering workshops, analyse business processes, and translate them into functional specifications.
- Configure and support D365 F&O Finance modules, including COA, Financial Dimension, Module setup, General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank, Budgeting, PR/PO Workflow, and Cost Accounting.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, Functional Requirement Documents, test scripts, work instruction manual and training materials.
- Works with the technical developer for system enhancements, ensuring the timely delivery of the customization and all requirements being met
- Support finance users through UAT, post go-live stabilization, and continuous improvements.
- Drive data validation, reconciliations, and assist in financial reporting integration (Power BI, Snowflake, etc. if applicable).
- Assists in uploading of master files and downloading of reports
- Assists users in requirements gathering and testing of Power BI reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, FP&A, Operations) to ensure finance system capabilities align with business strategy.
- Support internal and external audits, compliance (e.g. SOX), and internal controls via system design.
- Participate in the roadmap planning and rollout of new D365 features or enhancements.
- Manage vendors or partners delivering D365-related services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field. CPA or equivalent is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Consultant with hands-on D365 F&O Finance module expertise.
- Strong understanding of financial processes and controls (e.g., Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report).
- Proven experience in end-to-end D365 implementation or upgrade projects.
- Familiarity with data structures, reporting (Power BI), and system integrations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience (Nice to Have):
- Exposure to global rollouts and localization (e.g., tax, legal, multi-currency).
- Experience with workflow automation and Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate).
- Knowledge of Change Management and Finance transformation best practices.
