We are looking for an experienced 2G Voice Core professional with experience in Ericsson MSC-S/M-MGW/SPX implementation, combined with strong project coordination and migration planning skills.

The consultant will support the migration from the existing Ericsson Core environment towards the new Nokia platform. The role requires a strong technical understanding of Legacy Ericsson 2G Voice Core, signalling and service dependencies, together with the ability to plan, coordinate and follow up on migration activities across several technical teams.

The consultant will work closely with the existing project lead, Nokia and the customer's technical teams to ensure that migration activities, dependencies, actions and traffic flows are properly coordinated and followed through.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and coordination of the Ericsson Core migration.
• Define and follow up on migration activities, dependencies and milestones.
• Coordinate activities between Nokia, customer technical teams and other stakeholders.
• Follow up on technical actions and ensure agreed activities are completed.
• Support migration of traffic and services from the existing Ericsson Core environment.
• Monitor migration progress and identify risks, dependencies and blockers.
• Support migration windows, testing, cutover and post-migration activities.
• Ensure that service and traffic dependencies are understood throughout the migration.
• Maintain migration plans, action lists and relevant technical documentation.
• Provide technical input to project planning and status discussions.

Required Experience

• Strong technical background in Ericsson 2G/CS Core.
• Experience with Ericsson MSC-S, M-MGW and SPX implementation.
• Good understanding of STP and telecom signalling.
• Strong understanding of MAP, CAMEL and SIP.
• Experience with 2G Voice and SMS interworking.
• Experience with Voice Core migration and integration projects.
• Experience with technical project coordination, planning or project management.
• Ability to coordinate technical specialists and follow up on complex migration activities.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent English; Scandinavian language skills are a plus.

Preferred

• Experience with IMS and SIP.
• Experience with migration from Ericsson Legacy Core towards Nokia platforms.
• Experience from a telecom operator or major telecom vendor.
• Understanding of Voice Core traffic migration and service dependencies.
• Experience with MNP integration.
• Scandinavian telecom operator experience is an advantage.

Profile

The ideal candidate is a senior Ericsson CS Core professional with solid hands-on experience from Legacy 2G Voice Core environments who has also developed strong skills in planning, coordination and technical project execution.

The person should understand the Ericsson Core environment in sufficient depth to work effectively with technical specialists, while being structured, proactive and strong at following up on activities and keeping the migration moving forward.
