What you'll be doing

As an Employee Relations (ER) Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for ER guidance and support; helping leaders navigate people matters with confidence, consistency and fairness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving calls via a line manager phone service and providing appropriate and accurate advice.
  • Answering detailed questions about disciplinary, grievance, absence management, parental leave or any other ER related topic.
  • Being able to navigate systems, provide accurate advice and document information simultaneously.
  • Handling all matters confidentially.
  • Being part of a small and cohesive team.
  • Contributing to additional department tasks and responsibilities as and when required.
What you'll need to have (must-haves)
  • Experience in handling a broad range of ER cases, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence with coaching and influencing managers at all levels.
  • To be able to communicate complex issues clearly and sensitively.
  • Be highly organised and detail-focused.
  • Knowledgeable about current UK employment law and ER best practice.
  • Be a confident computer user with a solid knowledge of Microsoft applications.
