Equipment Specialist

Avertim Netherlands is currently looking for Equipment Specialists able to assist in the continuous expansion of Avertim's consulting activities in Life Sciences. Located in Amsterdam-Zuid, Avertim Netherlands is a trusted partner by the largest players in the Life Sciences sector.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the qualification, calibration, maintenance, and compliance of critical equipment used in manufacturing and laboratory environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain operational efficiency while adhering to regulatory standards such as GMP, ISO 13485, MDR, and FDA requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the qualification, validation, and maintenance of laboratory and production equipment.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (GMP, ISO 13485, MDR, FDA, etc.).
• Develop and implement equipment calibration and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Write equipment lifecycle related documentation such as URS, IQs, OQs and PQs.
• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment-related issues.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to optimize equipment performance.
• Maintain detailed documentation, including validation reports and maintenance records.
• Participate in audits and inspections, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for equipment reliability and efficiency.

Your background:

• A Master's Degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, Life Sciences or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in equipment qualification, calibration, and maintenance in a GMP-regulated environment.
• Experience in process engineering, mechanical engineering, facility engineering, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory and manufacturing equipment in pharmaceutical, medical devices, or biotech environments.
• Experience with equipment lifecycle management.
• Experience with CAPA, change control, and risk management processes.
• Experience in CSV is a plus.
• Planning & organization - Planning & organization plans and organizes own work(load) in an effective way by setting priorities and meeting deadlines;
• Communicating & influencing - Communicates with clarity, speaks and writes clearly and to the point; active listener;
• Proficiency in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies or Project Management
• Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus
• Dutch working permit, sponsorship not possible
