Our client, a global leader in consumer technology innovation, is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to join their advanced manufacturing operation on an initial 6-month contract. The Opportunity

As an Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and efficiency of advanced manufacturing equipment. Working alongside engineering, production, and development teams, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment uptime, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting continuous improvement activities throughout the manufacturing operation.

This position combines hands-on maintenance, fault diagnosis, calibration, instrumentation support, and process optimisation, offering a varied and technically challenging workload.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a first point of contact for manufacturing equipment and CIM-related technical escalations.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and equipment-related faults to minimise downtime.
  • Perform planned preventive maintenance, equipment audits, calibrations, and condition monitoring activities.
  • Support production teams in maintaining equipment performance and achieving quality targets.
  • Assist with continuous improvement projects focused on equipment reliability, efficiency, and process optimisation.
  • Support the operation and maintenance of advanced test and measurement equipment, including specialist RF testing environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on equipment upgrades, process improvements, and new technology implementation.
  • Ensure all maintenance and support activities are completed in line with safety and quality standards.

About you

  • Relevant qualification in Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, or a related technical discipline.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, maintenance, automation, or engineering environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across mechanical and/or electrical systems.
  • experience carrying out preventative maintenance and equipment servicing activities.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced operational environment.
