Equipment Maintenance Technician (CIM & Instrumentation)

6-Month Fixed-Term Contract Location: Cork, Ireland

Are you a hands-on technician with a passion for manufacturing technology, equipment maintenance, and problem-solving? We are seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician (Computer Integrated Manufacturing & Instrumentation) to support advanced manufacturing systems and cutting-edge test equipment within a dynamic production environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing engineering team, supporting the equipment and systems used to assemble, test, and package world-class technology products.

The Role

As a CIM & Instrumentation Technician, you will be a key point of contact for manufacturing equipment support, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring critical systems operate efficiently. You will work closely with engineering and production teams to maintain high standards of quality, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical equipment issues
  • Perform calibration, audits, inspections, and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment
  • Support production teams with equipment and process-related challenges
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Support the development and operation of advanced test instrumentation, including RF testing equipment and chambers
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for process optimisation
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and calibration records
Requirements Essential
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience providing hands-on technical support within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and Experience with data collection and analysis
  • Proactive and solution-focused mindset
  • Practical Experience in equipment maintenance, calibration, or process support
Desirable
  • Background knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, Linux, or macOS
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and DHCP
  • Experience with RF test equipment and instrumentation
  • Experience analysing manufacturing data and identifying trends
  • Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Automation, or Computer Science qualification
