Job Description

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Environmental Scientist to join a leading consultancy in Ireland.

Newly created opportunity for an experienced Environmental Scientist to work on complex EIAR projects across a diverse portfolio of large-scale developments including infrastructure and renewable energy. This role would suit a motivated Environmental Scientist who enjoys managing projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and taking ownership from project inception through to delivery.

Projects
  • Large-scale wind farm and solar energy developments (including offshore projects)
  • Waste-to-energy and manufacturing developments
  • Large-scale residential developments across Ireland
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Environmental Team on EIAR and planning projects across multiple sectors
  • Manage and oversee projects on a day-to-day basis including programme delivery, fee management, and client engagement
  • Take ownership of projects from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Mentor and support junior staff members and coordinate with sub-consultants where required
Qualifications
  • Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years' post-graduate experience in an environmental consultancy environment
  • Strong experience preparing and delivering EIARs
  • Proven experience working on large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy projects (wind/solar)
  • Excellent understanding of the Irish planning system
  • Broad technical knowledge across EIAR disciplines such as ecology, hydrology/hydrogeology, noise, air quality, traffic, geotechnical, and construction management
