Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Environment Manager to ensure compliance with environmental legislation, permits, licenses, and consents. The role involves working collaboratively across multiple teams to enhance environmental performance. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting site inspections and reporting environmental issues, advising on remedial actions
- Providing advice on environmental legislation, permits, and planning constraints
- Supporting compliance with environmental legislation and protection equipment
- Gathering and analyzing environmental performance data
- Reviewing and updating the Environmental Management Plan to ensure regulatory compliance
- Supporting environmental training initiatives
- Participating in self-assessments and internal audits to ensure adherence to legislation and best practices
Essential:
- Experience in an Environmental Management role
- Knowledge of UK environmental legislation relevant to construction or industrial installations
- Ability to work independently with excellent communication and influencing skills
- Experience with environmental management systems (EMS) conforming to BS EN ISO14001:2015
- Strong organizational and time management skills in a complex project environment
Desirable:
- Experience working in nuclear or high-hazard industries
- Understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007
Degree or equivalent in environmental, engineering, or science disciplines.
