Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SC and NPPV3 Cleared Environment Engineer to take ownership of environment management and governance across non-production and production environments. Initial 3 months contract assignment. (Duration is very likely to extend)

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective processes around the flow of change into environments, environment utilisation, ownership and the provisioning or decommissioning of environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a strategy for managing the flow of change into non-production and production environments.

• Establish effective controls around the use and purpose of existing environments.

• Manage and govern the process for requesting and provisioning additional environments.

• Own and maintain the governance framework supporting environment management.

• Provide clear visibility of environment status and utilisation during daily stand-ups.

• Maintain an accurate understanding of how environments are being used.

• Identify and maintain clear ownership of environments.

• Track environment utilisation and capacity.

• Identify opportunities for environment optimisation.

• Support the decommissioning of environments where appropriate.

• Work with technical and delivery teams to ensure environments are managed effectively.

• Maintain appropriate documentation, processes and governance relating to environments.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience in environment management/environment engineering.

• Experience managing multiple non-production and production environments.

• Strong understanding of environment governance and controls.

• Experience tracking environment utilisation and ownership.

• Experience managing requests for new or additional environments.

• Experience supporting environment decommissioning.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Ability to provide clear visibility of environment status to technical and delivery teams.

• Experience working within structured governance and change-management processes.

Security Requirements

• BPSS + SC Transfer/NPPV3 clearance required.

• UK Passport Holder required.

• Candidates should be aware that additional security vetting may extend the onboarding process.

Working Arrangement

Remote working available, with the role aligned to Croydon.
