Enhanced Access Receptionist

In this role, you will work within the Enhanced Access Service, providing medical support across Boston, Spilsby, Louth, Skegness, and Mablethorpe.

Working hours will be evenings and weekends. The position is a zero-hours contract, with shift numbers depending on your application through our rota system.

Main duties of the job
  1. Opening and closing the site.
  2. Supporting clinicians with chaperoning during appointments when required.
  3. Using the booking system confidentially and correctly.
  4. Greeting patients and recording them on the system.
  5. Checking reception tasks, making sure they are completed within a timely manner.
  6. Monitoring stock levels and contacting the Operations Manager if stock is required.
  7. Providing any other receptionist tasks required by the Operations Manager.
  8. Ensuring all equipment is taken out before the shift and put away at the end of the shift, including items such as prescriptions (following the correct procedure).
  9. Dealing with any patient queries.
  10. Assisting clinicians with calling IT when any issues arise.
  11. Completing medical referrals.
  12. Participating in on-call during your shift.

Job responsibilities

To work as part of a team in providing a high quality, efficient administrative support service on behalf of LADMS for the practices involved within the Enhanced Access service, based in locations including Louth Hospital, Skegness Hospital, Alford War Memorial Hall, Marisco Practice Mablethorpe, and more.

To provide an accurate, confidential, and efficient receptionist service across the East Lindsey District and support the requirements of the Enhanced Access contracts delivered by LADMS.

Person Specification Skills and Knowledge
  • Smartly presented and pleasant mannered individual.
  • Effective and efficient reception service to patients.
  • Good communication and relationship building skills with a caring attitude.
  • Uses own initiative and provides support whilst on shift (e.g., receive and make telephone calls when required).
  • Prioritises workload, adheres to company procedures, and takes a proactive approach.
  • Good IT skills and attention to detail to ensure medical records are accurate.
  • Reliable individual with good time management.
  • Can work under pressure and handle all general enquiries.
  • Calm, resilient individual who can manage emergencies.
  • Understands, accepts and adheres to strict confidentiality.
  • Preferred: knowledge of Systm One.
  • Owns a Smartcard.
  • Basic IT skills.
