We are seeking a qualified and dedicated English Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the Flint area on a full-time, long-term basis. This role is to start as soon as possible and offers stability within a well-established English department.

The Role

• Deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Effectively prepare Year 11 students for GCSE examinations
• Create a positive, well-managed classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and engagement
• Track, assess, and support student progress in line with school expectations
• Marking time will be built into the timetable, and lesson plans are already in place, allowing you to focus on delivery and assessment
• Work collaboratively with department colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Specialism in English
• Proven excellent classroom management skills
• Experience teaching KS3 and KS4, including supporting Year 11 exam preparation
• Commitment to raising achievement and supporting pupil progress
• Strong organisational and communication skills
