Engineering Lecturer (BTEC Level 3 & HNC Level 4)

Location: Stretford Campus


Contract: Fixed Term (September/October 2026 to January 2027)


Hours: Full-Time Preferred


About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Engineering Lecturer to join our team at the Stretford Campus on a fixed-term basis from September/October through to January.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across a range of Engineering programmes, including:



  • BTEC Level 3 Engineering

  • HNC Level 4 Engineering Units

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Engineering Mathematics


This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator with industry knowledge and a passion for developing the next generation of engineers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across BTEC Level 3 and HNC Level 4 Engineering programmes.

  • Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, and assessments in line with curriculum requirements.

  • Support and monitor student progress, providing guidance and feedback to help learners achieve their potential.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and best teaching practices.

  • Contribute to a positive learning environment that promotes student success and achievement.


Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:



  • A relevant degree or higher qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Experience teaching Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Mathematics.

  • Knowledge and experience of delivering BTEC Level 3 and/or HNC Level 4 Engineering qualifications.

  • A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one, depending on organisational requirements).

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
